Winter Pansies and Painting class

Last night I started teaching a painting class for the university of south Alabama's special courses department. I had a great time and hope my students did as well. We painted this still life for the first class.I dont know who the original artist is but this is my version. Sometimes I like to work with a famous piece and see what I can learn from it. This is based on a Painting by Matisse. I must have learned something. I'll let you know when I realize what it is.
