I took a drive across the bay Thursday. I was able to take a few photos between rain showers. This painting is from an area near the Five Rivers pavilion. I know I have said it before but, what a beautiful place. I will paint again Monday. See you then....T

Sorry I didn't post on Wednesday. I was working on a portrait for a show at the Semmes Library. I turned it in before it was photographed.The reception is tonight from 6:00-7:00. Drop by if you get a chance. Today I am working on a commission that needs to be finished. So, I thought I would share this painting with you. It is another last minute- need something for a show- piece. I think working under pressure allows for that loose painterly quality that I love. The colors also work very well in this painting. This painting is more vivid than it appears in the photo. I love the contrast of the reds with the subtle green tones of the background. Pears are favorite subject of mine. Also a favorite fruit.See you soon...T
