Please note that this painting is larger than my typical daily painting. I thought sunflower season was over. What a nice surprise when I found these in the local grocery. If you ever wanted to start painting and have been to intemidated I suggest starting with sunflowers. They are so much fun!!

Today Lydia and I painted at the Five Rivers Center, where the Mobile, Spanish, Tensaw, Apalachee and Blakeley rivers flow into Mobile Bay. It really is a nice facility. You should check it out.

I have a giant popcorn (Tallow) tree in my back yard. It is probably one of the only trees in Mobile that changes color with the seasons. It is just beginning to get a little yellow.

This painting is based on some dishes that look great in my house. I think they were a wedding gift to my husband and his first wife. As my Uncle Pee Wee would say , I am a lucky girl. I got the dishes AND Tom.
