I have a giant popcorn (Tallow) tree in my back yard. It is probably one of the only trees in Mobile that changes color with the seasons. It is just beginning to get a little yellow.

This painting is based on some dishes that look great in my house. I think they were a wedding gift to my husband and his first wife. As my Uncle Pee Wee would say , I am a lucky girl. I got the dishes AND Tom.

I kind of like the leaning, twistiness of the buildings. Kind of makes me think of the twistiness of New Orleans. There will be a companion piece that goes with this one. maybe some leaning twisty musicians. hmmm
